In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden sect.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Content

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
